Make a tulip spinning top or whirlygig spinner using this printable template.
This STEM craft for kids is not only great for Spring crafting, it's also a way to learn about colour theory. The set includes three spinners that mix two primary colours in large tulips, and a fourth that includes all of the primary colours in small tulips.
When they spin fast, the spinner creates an optical illusion of the colours mixing together.
You can use the same template to create both spinning tops and whirlygig string spinners.
The template also includes a colour-your-own version of the spinners so kids can mix other colours together to see what happens.
